Inspire was founded in 2012 to encourage and support personal productivity as a challenge from Ken Blanchard at the University of San Diego in the Masters of Science Executive Leadership MSEL program. We took the idea and applied it to organizational leadership development. With years of research and application, Inspire grew into a full-scale leadership and skill development platform. Our platform is built on research-based behavioral science and proven leadership models to provide your organization with trusted software to support your business.
Inspire is headquartered in San Diego, CA. The platform is backed by some of the best leadership development minds Dr. Drea Zigarmi and Susan Fowler. Our team consists of experienced business professionals with both technical and leadership backgrounds.
Chris Wollerman is the founder of InnovaSystems International LLC and Inspire Software. He started InnovaSystems as a small startup and built it to a mid-sized software development company with over 300 employees spread across the United States, with a 98% CEO approval rating on GlassDoor. Prior to InnovaSystems Chris held various positions at Lockheed Martin, SAIC and General Motors.
Chris holds a Master of Science in Executive Leadership from the University of San Diego. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Michigan Technological University. He is certified in facilitation and a regular trainer for many leadership programs from FranklinCovey to Ken Blanchard and has developed a leadership development syllabus with applied software for every course.
Lynn is currently responsible for the finance department of Inspire Software. She also serves as co-owner and chief financial officer of InnovaSystems International, LLC for the past 20 years, Lynn Hutton is responsible for planning and directing all financial and contract initiatives for the organization, as well as managing strategic, operational and revenue initiatives that drive the company’s short- and long-term profitability and growth.
Lynn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Management from Michigan Technological University. Immediately out of college Lynn supported the Department of Energy to in research and development of technologies for hazardous and radioactive waste storage and treatment.
Founded in 1997 with her husband Chris, InnovaSystems is a leading provider of information technology and software solutions to the U.S. Department of Defense and commercial organizations. The company began with seven employees, and today has over 300 employees in 30 offices worldwide with over $50 million in revenue.

Tom is currently responsible for Customer Operations including Sales, Marketing and Product Management. Prior to joining Inspire Tom served as President & COO of Cadec Global (now owned by Trimble Navigation, Inc.), a provider of management software for the transportation industry. Tom has also held executive positions leading Product Management, Product Development and Business Development at Qualcomm and XATA (XRS) now owned by Vista Equity Partners.
Tom holds a Master’s of Science in Executive Leadership (MSEL) from the University of San Diego and a business degree from the University of St. Thomas. He is an active member of the Corporate Director’s Forum, Sales and Marketing Alliance and San Diego HR Forum.
Larry is responsible for the design and implementation of Human Resource strategies, programs, policies and objectives that create an employee oriented, high performing culture emphasizing Trust, Empowerment, Excellence, Teamwork, Innovation and Passion for Inspire at InnovaSystems workforce. Prior to joining the team, Larry was the Human Resources & Payroll Manager for Spy Optic, Inc. and No Fear, Inc., he was the General Operations Manager for On Fire Graphics, Inc., and was a leading Sales Representative for the Automobile Club of Southern California.
Larry holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Medicine from San Diego State University, and is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
Jim is the CIO for Inspire Software and is currently responsible for all systems data, cloud infrastructure, security, and client integration. Prior to joining Inspire, Jim served as the CIO for La Jolla Bioengineering. Jim has also held executive positions in international software development, Public Education, Healthcare, the Department of Defense and technology startups.
Jim earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from San Diego State University. Jim has been a keynote speaker and presenter at multiple industry conferences on topics including: technology integration, curriculum and technology in the classroom, leadership development, information technology trends, cyber security and IT counter-threat strategies.

Ashley is responsible for Product Marketing. Before joining the Inspire team Ashley managed Integrated Marketing Communications for Tapestry Solutions, a Boeing subsidiary, that creates custom software for the Department of Defense and Defense Contractors to manage logistics, mission planning and supply chain. Prior to that role Ashley has held various other marketing positions for commercial and custom software companies.
Ashley holds a Masters of Business Administration, with concentration in International Business from Arizona State University and a Business Marketing Degree from San Diego State University. She has also completed a Strategic Online Marketing certificate from the University of San Diego. Ashley is a member of the American Marketing Association.
Jason joined the Inspire team in 2015 to help integrate leadership philosophy into the Inspire software and introduce a new approach, Leadership as a Service, to the leadership development market. He comes to the Inspire product with 15 plus years of experience training and developing leadership concepts in the classroom and virtual learning platforms. He has been mentored by some of the most recognized leadership and business book authors in the leadership development industry and is an experience professional leadership facilitator and instructional designer in leadership theory and application.
Jason’s passion for leadership began while working with best-selling business author, Ken Blanchard, as a literary assistant and media director of a small internal media team that served Blanchard’s clients. After graduating with a Masters of Arts and Science degree from California State University and a Professional Degree in Screenwriting from the University of California, Los Angeles, he became the Director of New Media for The Ken Blanchard Companies, where he began to blend leadership concepts learned in traditional workshops, into a sustained an ongoing active learn-by-doing experience. He is a Certified Consulting Associate for The Ken Blanchard Companies and Consulting Partner for Inspire Leadership Genius. He is a co-author of Situational Self Leadership in Action, and asynchronous self-paced leadership model. He is CoFounder of HighWay Media in the Silicon Valley, and CoFounder of DiamondHawk Leadership in Boston, MA.
